Can I use default reporting dates?
Answer:
Yes, you can setup a default date for reports, which would apply for any quick financial statement you run. In addition, the current period dates will reflect your default period when creating NEW financial statement reports. Setting up a default reporting date can be done by following the steps below:
1. Navigate to Options>Customize Workstation Settings.
![]()
2. In the Reports tab, enter a value for ‘Default Reporting Date’ and click Apply.
1. Navigate to Options>Customize Workstation Settings.

2. In the Reports tab, enter a value for ‘Default Reporting Date’ and click Apply.
Additional Information:
Please note that the default reporting date is workstation specific and does not affect the reporting dates on other networked workstations. If the default reporting date is blank, the system checks the workstation's internal clock and creates reports using the internal clock as the reference for the date range.

The Requisition Number has already been used
Symptom:
I’m trying to create a new requisition but I’m receiving the following error:
![]()
When I search for the referenced requisition number I can’t find it from Create/Approve Requisitions that number doesn’t exist and no matter what number I choose I receive this error.
Cause:
This usually happens when a very specific set of circumstances are true:
A requisition was created and then voided before the next requisition number could be used
In Set Up Electronic Requisitions, the Last Requisition Number is a number before the referenced “used” number, and you’ve selected Allow the System to Assign All Requisition Numbers.
Organization>Set Up Modules>Electronic Requisitions.
![]()
The software has a record that the requisition number 6839 has been used but is not reporting it in the Manage Requisitions due to being voided. You can confirm the requisition was voided by running a Requisition Register Report.
Resolution:
In the Last Requisition Number field, key 2 numbers up, in the above example key 6841 or select the radio button for “Allow Users to Assign Requisition Numbers”

Abila Fund Accounting screen display
Symptom:
You may experience some or all of the following:
Unable to view Session ID field on transfer to accounting screen
Unable to use Copy Posted Document or Reverse Posted Document menu
On the login screen, the Organization field is above the User Information fields
Cause:
The DPI (Dots Per Inch) setting has been changed from the default. Due to the properties of the MIP display technology, some fields will be displaced or missing if the DPI settings are not at 100%. This does not always occur, only in some monitor/video card combinations.
Resolution:
Set the DPI back to the default setting
Windows7/10
From Desktop, do right click and select Personalized>Display or navigate to Start>Control Panel>All Control Panel Items>Display
Select the option for Smaller – 100% (default)
Restart the workstation
If the size of the display at 100% DPI (default) is too small, consider the following options.
Change the resolution on the monitor reducing the resolution. This will spread the content of the screen over a larger area. However, this may result in a less than optimal viewing experience on LCD panels.
Look for an older monitor that has less resolution. The display size is a function of how much resolution you have (in Pixels) over the size of the monitor. Two monitors of identical size but different resolutions will change the size of the display.

Chart of Account Code Status
Answer:
There are three different statuses a chart of accounts code can have:
A – Active – This status allows transaction entry to the account code. Active codes will appear on reports.
I – Inactive – This status is used for codes that are not used regularly for transactions, but you still may want to use them at some point. A warning message appears when an attempt is made to use an inactive code. You can still use the code after the warning message. Inactive codes appear on reports.
D – Discontinued – This status is used for codes that are no longer used. The system does not allow transaction entry to a discontinued code. Discontinued codes also appear on reports.
Additional Information:
The status of a GL can be changed at any time.
