Symptom:
When using the Drill Down feature of an MIP report, if you choose to sort by the Balance column, the transactions listed under each account code are thrown off.
Cause:
The printer driver you are using in the report setup is either corrupt, out of date, or a non-compatible driver.
Resolution:
To use a different printer driver on the report, go to the report Setup tab of the report you are getting ready to run and click the printer with a wrench icon. From there, choose a different printer driver. Microsoft XPS Document Writer or Microsoft Print to PDF are typically safe choices. Press OK to the changes. You can then try running the drill down again, sort by balance, and if it comes out correct, remember to save the report itself so it saves your printer choice.
Note: if you want to use the printer driver that was not working originally, you may have to remove that driver, re-download it from the manufacturer’s website, and install it again.
