Download Description
This file needs to be downloaded and applied at the server for MIP Fund Accounting. No downloads are needed at the workstation(s). Please refer to the install.pdf file for instructions on updating the workstation(s). Please note Windows Server 2008R2, 2012 and 2012R2 are no longer supported. The current system requirements for MIP can be found here: https://www.abila.com/nonprofit-software/fund-accounting/mip-fund-accounting/system-requirements/
Install MIP as a user who has local Administrator rights to perform the install. Additionally, when running the install executable, right click and choose Run as Administrator.
Before upgrading be certain you have the latest Service Pack for the version of SQL installed on your server. Please note SQL Server 2008R2 and 2012 are no longer supported, if you are using these versions of SQL the upgrade process may fail.
You may reference Microsoft article here for more information about Service Packs. Please be aware that updating SQL Service Packs is outside of the scope of your maintenance and support agreement.
You must be in Fund Accounting version 2020.1 or higher to utilize these upgrade files. Users in a version PRIOR to 2018.1 please see the Additional Information section below.
Please note there are some changes to the MIP workstation installation process, including Microsoft .Net 4.8 being required. This will cause most workstation installations to take longer, for a step by step view of the process see KB 24187.
Before attempting the 2021.2 upgrade, please verify that your MIP server operating system and SQL instance meet the latest MIP system requirements. To view the system requirements Click Here

WHAT’S NEW IN MIP VERSION 2022.1
Improvements in this release:
Sample import files for customers currently using TADS by Community Brands, see KB 28566 for details.
Several quality enhancements based on reported issues and customer feedback, see KB 28541 for details.
API Enhancement for the Recursive Transaction endpoint now includes the Session Posted Date.
